The Helping Hand Illusion

I watch people gather around me
consuming, interacting
some showing how big they are, intimidating
others trying to sneak away quietly, so fragile

I watch the people form groups
a few gentlemen chatter, huddled close together
a boy who seemed to have just recovered
from a disease, being hugged by his foster

I watch a lady throw a superior look upon
the shabby, ill individuals
scattered around the room
disliked through looks and status

I watch a baby cry
trying to reach
for the golden pendulum
held by the lady, playfully pulling it away

I watch the gentlemen break apart
I watch them form couples with outcasts
I watch them take the baby from the ground
whispering comforting words

the lady nods, the boy smiles
they know
they are still favoured
by their men
their conspiracy

shimmering as a diamond
though running away
away from my eyes
away from my face
worth nothing in money
but precious to myself
so many of them
and still rare, still rare..

When it captures my breath
don't want to inhale any more
but makes me think
I've got still something to live for

These diamonds on my skin
under my eye, on my cheeck
they remind me of loss
and of what I still seek..

Darkness

Darkness is when nobody can see your tear
Darkness is the personally fear
to be alone in self absorption
to run through the unknown without caution

Darkness are red lips pursed sensually
Darkness is wild tango, in a cage, but free
Darkness is watching stars togethere on a summer night
Darkness is a mute fight
Darkness is shouting without sound
Darkness is to be homebound
the smell of cigarettes, urine and alcohol in trains
the way long hair curls when it rains
Darkness is when you're chilled to the marrow
Darkness is being at a loss of following which arrow

Darkness is there every night and daytime
Darkness sleeps in us, like the crime
Darkness is pulling people togethere
insignificant if good or bad weather
